A small studio with a long memory
Estela was founded in Lisbon in 2009 on a stubborn belief: that the best buildings are the ones you stop noticing, because they simply make life work. Sixteen years and more than a hundred projects later, that belief still sets every brief.
We are deliberately small. The people who meet you at the first sketch are the people on site at the last inspection. That continuity is the whole point — nothing of importance gets lost in a handover, because there is no handover.
Our work spans private homes, cultural pavilions, civic halls and workplaces, but the method never changes: understand the life first, draw the building second, and protect the idea all the way to the keys.

Daylight first
Every main room earns light from two sides. It is the cheapest luxury and the one people feel most.
Honest materials
Stone, oak, lime and glass, left to be themselves and to age with grace rather than hide it.
Built to last
We design for the tenth year, not the launch photo. Durability is a form of respect.
